About Us
For more than two decades, Mountain Traditions has stood for craftsmanship, character, and the enduring beauty of the mountains.
Born in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, this started as a small gallery — built by hand, one piece at a time — to share fine art and sculpture that captured the spirit of mountain life. Not the polished “Western” image, but the real one: work boots, sawdust, and grit.
That same work ethic drives us today. Our online collections feature limited-edition bronze sculptures by Mark Hopkins, known for his storytelling in bronze, along with custom license-plate art, handcrafted furnishings, prints, and accessories that carry the same authenticity.
Every piece we offer is made with purpose. These aren’t mass-produced or machine-perfect — they’re made to last and made to mean something.
At Mountain Traditions, we believe the mountain spirit isn’t just scenery — it’s a way of life. It’s in the hands that build, the patience that finishes, and the pride that signs the back of every piece.
That spirit started with my father — a small-town shop owner who believed in hard work and doing things right. His example laid the foundation for everything we build today.
That’s the heart of who we are — and what we hope to share in your home.
